Hey guys! What great news! Things sure are changing fast. This week was really great. We had a baptism of Joelito and i will never forget the way i felt when he looked at me and my companion, with tears in his eyes saying that we are angels who were sent into his life. The transformation of someone who is converted to the gospel is something very few see. The spirit burned in my heart and we both savored that sweet moment. I know that coming home will mean lots of changes for me, but i am both confident and prepared to keep moving forward. Tell uncle ben that i love him and that i[´ve always been praying for him. He is so special to me. Tell him that i remembered him this week! When MadDog opened he was there. It was just me and ty there from our family, but as he left, he put his car in neutral and revved up his honda or toyota engine to show all of those macho men with huge trucks who has got power and class. I remember laughing for hours about that scene. Tell him to hang in there. Is he still living in St. George??

I love you all with all my heart. HOpe you have a wonderful week you guys. Each time i open my email i am filled with the spirit and i have the desire to cry.

I am training this transfer and my new companion sitser correia says to me `sister, every time i look at you i feel the spirit.` what a cute and sweet compliment that is.

This life is wonderful. The lord lives and loves us. God is our loving heavenly father, and he answers our prayers. I know that this gospel is true. Jesus Christ is our Savior and our Redeemer. I know that.

Love you all

Thank you all! Things are going great here! We had a wonderful baptism this week. Ivete is a young woman with 27 years. 10 years ago, she was the first to accept baptism in her family, but only her parents and sisters were baptized. After 10 years of missionary discussions and baptismal goals, she finally was baptized. I will tell you more about her when i get home, but she suprized her family! It was so special! Everyone cried tears of joy.

I had such a special feeling as i watched her enter the room in white and give her dad a big hug. later he said to me, you little rascal! You sure tricked me! How did you keep such a big secret?

I love this work. I am so happy. I will be a missionary my whole life, because it is so special to help others with such a sacred moment in their lives.

Thank you for the birthday song!!! I heard your voices in the voices of the brazilian people here. How special!!!

Thank you for your strong testimonies. You´ve left a wonderful legacy of faith and dedication to the lord, Jesus Christ. I love you each deeply. Each day, i work my hardest to show the lord my gratitude for such my blessed life and for the many special people who have influenced me, helping me become who i am today.

Have a wonderful week, with love! Sister Ashley Rowland

Thank you all! I know my birthday will be really great! the best part is that we have been without a fridge and a washing machine for a month and a half....and i just got a phone call saying that they will be delivered on ........wed!!! My birthday hahahaha.... how cool right? who would have thought that my birthday wish would be a fridge and a little tanquinho...washing machine. I am so blessed. The lord knows my needs and wishes so well and i am always so amazed at how when we obey, we are blessed. In spiritual ways and physical. So anyways, things are going really good here. We are teaching a really special girl named Ivete. She is the bishops sister-in-law. She spent 7 years investigating the church and she is just incredible. i love her so much and i can see her living the gospel happily for the rest of her life. what a blessing it has been to teach her the gospel. really, we have learned more from her, than she from us. she will be baptized on saturday.

i am trying to figure out my plans for the future. if you all have any inspired ideas, please let me know. you know, like i think ashley would be a great _________. hahahahaha fill in the blank in the next email okay guys?

Thanks for the birthday wishes. i will think about breakfast in bed and you guys singing. have a wonderful week everyone!!! I love you!

Hey guys. What a great week you all had! This week was so great. Fernanda was baptized on sunday and we had stake conference! The messages were so uplifting and wonderful. Our ward was the choir for both days and my companion and i and 2 investigators sang in the choir too!!!

This week i recieved a great compliment. My mission president said You´re terrific - I know that you can be trusted everywhere and that is a wonderful compliment

It is a great thing to be trusted. I feel trusted by the lord with much more fequency here in the mission, and i will always strive to keep it that way. this week was a really great one. stake conference was wonderful. Sunday was all about missionary work as well and the baptism to top it all off was so special. I am so grateful for the lords hand in everything we do. I am thankful for the members who are prayerfully involved in missionary work. It is getting much easier to discern the needs of others and to recognize the still small voice. We are working with the ward council to help 2 less active families. My study this week helped me to understand the love of the savior and what he expects of me. As your knowledge and understanding of the atonement grows, your desire to share the gospel will increase. I remember when i first got my mission call i opened up preach my gospel and started reading and this was the first phrase that caught my attention. I studied carefully the atonement and each time i think about what my savior has done for me, i feel with certanty that my savior loves me, and expects the best of me. There is nothing more motivating than the savior´s love and a testimony of the restored gospel!

I am so thankful for your story about chance mom. i will definately use it this week. YES

you are so great mom! i love how you can easily relate many real life experiences with gospel principles. I was telling a special family about you the other day. about how you made our rowland family values and how talented and special you are! Thanks for all you do for me mom!!!

Hey dad, i think i will be feeling how you feel in a few months... a little out of the swing of things. it is so incredible how serving and responsibility becomes such a huge part of your life. so huge that you take it for granted sometimes until it is gone -as noted by some returned missionaries in their homecoming talks - . i know that the lord qualifies every one he calls. he knows who he would have serve in every position in his church. have you recieved a new calling yet? Dad how is family scripture study going? Did you guys finish the bishops challenge?? I love you so much! A great big hug for you dad! I am working hard and it is so great.

Hey little brudders...how are you all doing? Jess sorry you werent feeling well. hope you are better or get better really quick. one time, i was teaching a man who was less active and i asked him to go back to church, he said he was sick and i said brother ernesto, if you go to church on sunday, i know you will become.....i wanted to say better.....but i swithched the word and i said......a woman. (melhor...vs...mulher ask tyler) hahahaha i said it again and again, and he didnt understand, he kept saying, but i dont want that.... and i was like of course you do! it isnt good to be sick! hahaha but then my companion said, brother ernesto, what she meant to say was that you will become ....better.

needless to say, he laughed really hard and long, and the next day he returned to church, and is active and strong again!

I am proud of my brothers. you guys are the greatest ever. good luck with basketball this week. keep making personal goals and try to do your best to acomplish them. you guys are great examples of this ...i always liked to watch you practice and play basketball cause it was easy to measure your progress and see how much you improved. Dont forget to do that with your spiritual side as well okay boys. say your prayers even if it is hard, and read your scriptures even if it seems like there is no time. as you do this it is real easy to see your progress and heavenly father can bless you with material things as well as spiritual things! Mosiah 2:41! Love you all so much.

Have a wonderful week okay? kisses! xxoxoxoOoXXXXXxxxxoooo
