I dont mind being your little boy forever, i find that i miss you more and more each day. Not in a bad way. I love Brasil . Mom, besides the email i sent you, i was going to send you a little mothers day gift as well , but i didnt complete my mission. I hope you will forgive me if its a bit late... I am so so sorry mom. Ashley already went through the temple by now. but tell her congradulations, maybe she knows now why i loved to go almost every week. I love the temples. As the time goes by i am learning a lot mom, and i know the church i true more and more, and i really will be a lot different when i get back. i was incredably blessed when i was in home but i could have had many more blessing and helped others more. Think You are the best mother in the world. I love you MOM!

How happy i am to hear that you are going to serve in the same wonderful contry as me. I cant tell you what a help you have given me in the work. My companion tells me that your mission is really white and ready to harvest. i really cant beleive that youll be speaking a little bit of portuguese with me. Its pretty funny that you got your call really close to the day i did. Elder Madril is serving in the mission right next to yours Sâo Paulo Leste. And tell maddy i think i screamed just as loud as she did when i found out where you were going . When will you be heading out? And what are you thinking about you call. I know that you will get the language just fine. I know that Brasil is going to be a wonderful blessing for you and for our family, and especially the families that are waiting for you in São Paulo Interlogos. What a blessing it is to have such a wonderful family. I really do Love you All so much. Please forgive me for not writing as much as possible. I will Write way more i promise.

Mom i cant beleive how fast time is flying here. I am on my 7th month and i am really astonished at how the lord has blessed me and you guys. 7 months ago i didnt know anything about potuguese and now i am giving talks in the ward here. 7 months ago my sister ashley did not even have the word mission in her mind, and in the space of 7 months maddy and jesse and logan and russell have changed in many beautiful ways. we have so many blessings mom. I sure love you, and i know that the tough times are still going to come, but i know that just means more blessings in one way or another. You and Dad and my brothers and sisters are so precious to me . I love you all

Dad
It was so awesome to talk to you guys on the phone on mothers day. You guys are so wonderful. I was so happy for the blessing that the lord is pouring over your heads. My feelings were so full that i lost it pretty good at the end there. But what a neat thing it is to have you guys. I was Astonished at Ashleys decision. I could not be more happy for her. The things that she is going to do , the people that she is going to touch. I feel a lot like Ammon, who when he ran into his brothers who were still his brothers in the gosple, was so filled with joy that he fell to the ground. What neat blessing are coming from the lord. It was kindof funny, but today me and my companion were cleaning our house, the outside because we are moving from that one. But this Huge triantula spider popped out of no where , crawling on my trousers. I will have to send you pictures of the big guy. Tell everyone how much i love them one more time.

As i was saying, Things are going well here. Thats so sweet your buying old games we used to play in the old days. Its getting a little bit colder everyday here. But that isnt keeping the geckos from sneaking in our house. Ill send you a picture of one that live with us. he is just a little guy but we have bigger ones around. We also have parrots that live next to our house, but unfortunantly i havent gotten a picture of them yet because they blend in with the trees. As far as the work goes, im doing fine. My companion elder Rubens is such a great example to me. He helped me learn to do what it takes . unfortunantly he is being transfered tomorrow, but i will work hard with whatever i get. I love you guys so much and wish all of you well. Since mothers day is coming up and need to set up a time with you guys to call home. But i dont know what time it is there. so if you could help me out with this that would be sweet! I want to talk to all of you. I will call the day before mothers day to set up a time with you guys, and i can only talk for 5 minutes to set up a time and then 1 hour the next day. ill let you know what time ill call . i love you

Elder Rowland April 15, 2009 - News about Grandpa Rowland
Dear Family
I Recived the news about grandpa early this morning. In a way i knew that i wouldnt have a grandpa Rowland when i returned home.
Early this morning while crying like a young boy, went into a room to be alone, to be away from everyone and everything. I couldnt stop crying. I couldnt help but think of all the things grandpa has done for me. When i think about my grandpa Rowland i realize how selfless he lived. Everything he did, he did to make someone else happy. He loved to see us happy, he loved to see us having fun. And he always wanted to include everyone. What a life we grandchildren lived. We had World War II Lives, We lived as Indians, We were mountain men, We had our very own real knifes. We lived lives that most children can only dream about.
I remember just before leaving the mission, dad, grandma, and i were talking with grandpa. Grandpa said something i will never forget. He said that he couldnt have asked for a better life. He said that this has been a life full of people that loved him. And that he was so thankful for the gosple of Jesus Christ that brought this happieness to him.
I love my grandpa Rowland so much. And i know that so many more shared that same love for him.
I got the opportunity to spend a few days with him before leaving to the Mission. I asked my Grandpa something that i had always wanted to ask him. Something so simple, but the answer ment everything to me. I asked, "Grandpa, if you have any advice for this life, what is it?"
He Said to me " You have had great parents who raised you into a great person, Just put the lord first in your life and thats about all i can give you."
Everywhere i went in salt lake that knew my grandpa and grandma said that they are the best kind of people. So down to earth. So full of love. I could say so much about them.
As i was thinking and crying about grandpa i had the desire to pray. As i was praying, i felt something so strong. The spirit calmed my soul, and i know, as i live and as i breath, i will see him again. I love a quote by Russell M Nelson " Death cannot sever families cealed in the temple, they understand death as a nessisary part of Gods great plan of happieness."
We will all see our Grandfather again, I know that this is true. And i will share this wonderful news with all those who will listen in the next year and a half. I love you all so much. And i promise that death is a nessisary part of this live. It is the only way to enjoy the blessings and treasures in the next life. Be comforted and Proud of the life Grandpa lived because the lord is indeed pleased with it.
Grandpa wrote me a letter, and the end of the letter has really touched me, he said " We are so proud of you Ty and we miss you a lot, It will be a great day when you come home, Keep up the good work my boy, we love you so much." - Love Grandpa.
I think that the day we all come home will be a great day. I think that the lord has said that same thing for all of us. It was a wonderful day in heaven, i know that so many took our grandpa Rowland in their arms rejoicing, for coming home.

Hello My dear family
I really like your thinking about the giant email. I love it . i love to hear from all of you. Easter was really good . Thanks to the package that you guys sent me. Mitch did send me an email and its really neat, i know a lot of people that he knew while here in Santa Isabel. So mom is going to work a the dentist office eh? Thats really neat. I guess my destinany is being a dentist as well...Thanks so much for the pictures by the way they are really awesome. So jesse is driving practically , how the time flys. Tell rob potter hey. He was really the best coach i had in high school . he is really devoted to the players. Jesse boy i think that you could be what ever you want . You have that potential . Just remember that i believe in you. And Maddy, Elder Madril does have somebody waiting, she is actually taking classes at suu. but You never know what could happen , not that im encouraging anything, but you never know . My companion is working his butt off, trying to help me be a better missionary. He is literally the best missionary in the mission. and he was sent to me on his last transfer just to train elder Rowland. I am so happy. Russ, those girls are going to be kissing the ground you walk on up untill your mission, but they wont be worthly of you. Maybe one will come after your mission, but dont give any of those girls the time of day. Oh and comments on the holy ghost mom. I can just say this, that the holy ghost is really sensitive, but he can be felt, but you have to do your part first. You need to eliminate all other distraction first. Turn off the TV, The Radio. Clean the Room , Kick that yapping mutt out of the house, Ask for everyone elses attention and then you can feel his presence. I love you all so much and hope all is going well .Love
